WELCOME TO THE NSHL

Congratulations to the SEATTLE RAINIERS for winning their second-ever Farley Cup in 2007.

Founded in 1996, The National Strat-O-Matic Hockey League (NSHL) is a play-by-email league using the Strat-O-Matic game engine. Twenty-four teams will compete in the 2007-08 NSHL season, the league's eleventh.
Each team plays 82 games over the course of a twenty-two week season, with the top sixteen teams advancing to the Farley Cup playoffs.

Home owners play four games every two weeks, either by following the road team's Computer Manager (CM) or by head-to-head play over Net Meeting. League files are centrally updated and can be found here. Owners also manage their team rosters, orchestrating trades, free agent signings and draft picks. Each two-week period begins and ends with the NSHL Newsletter.

NEWSLETTER
PLAYOFFS (As of May 8, 10 pm EDT)

In this issue of the NSHL Newsletter #11.18 of May 2, 2008:

Who will succeed to Ovechkin as the league MVP?

This is for the first part of our two-part voting procedure, in order to narrow down the finalists for our league awards. Please vote for as many candidates as you would like (including write-in votes if you desire) up to the maximum number for each category. Votes are due by one week from the
date of this newsletter

The NSHL Register is now updated!

For those of you who haven't seen the register, it's an Excel workbook that contains as much of the league's history as I can fit in there.
