The Seattle Rainiers became, in 2006-07, the second team to repeat their conquest of the Farley Cup, after the Long Island Berserkers.

Nicklas Lidstrom is the only returnee on the 2006-07 NSHL first all-star team, which also includes five newcomers.

Nicklas Lidstrom won the Orr Trophy as best NSHL Defenseman for the first time in three years, but the fifth time since 1997-98.

As of the conclusion of the 2006-07 season, Patrick Shea passed the 1,000 point milestones and sit atop the ranking. Jason McCorrister has the best win percentage of NSHL history and Shea is still the top playoffs coach despite being excluded.
