ANOTHER WILD DRAFT DAY

310 minutes, 199 picks, and it was finally all over. Starting with Long
Island's selection of Evgeni Malkin, and finishing with Nevada's pick of
Niko Dimitrakos, the NSHL conducted their 2007 entry draft today,
and a wild time was had by all.

Pittsburgh Penguins went one-two as Malkin was followed by Jordan Staal
to Buffalo. Niklas Backstrom, the first goaltender selected, went
fifth overall to the team formerly known as the New York Lancers.

Jack Johnson, the top defenseman taken, fell all the way to tenth before
the Privateers snapped him up.

Please check the rosters online to make sure that everything is in
order - I'll clean up things later in the weekend, but the guts are
there.
